Support Tate's Battle Against Osteosarcoma

Tate Statema was recently diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer), at only 17 years old we can all only imagine how scary the diagnoses is for Tate and his family. I'm Jessi (Oen) Lewis, cousin of Bryan and Jenn Oen. I'm working with the family to help financially during this long road ahead. Tate will start chemo at Seattle Children's Hospital this week. As a Bellingham based family this will require Tate's family to re-locate to Seattle for several months as he goes through chemo.

Jenn and Bryan are not ones to ask for help but after some pressure (I'm older and wiser than Bryan so he really should listen to his older cousin) we've landed on agreement for this Go Fund Me.

Money from this account will go towards supporting Tate's medical cost, the families living situation and anything left over to Tate's post High School plans.

Tate is a high school junior who plays tennis, is a great big brother to Miles and a teen who consistently makes his parents proud. Tate has faced the last few weeks with a strong outlook, putting others feelings/concerns above his own. Tate should be thinking about normal teen things - his girl friend, friends and summer break but instead has adjusted to his new reality.
