My mom is the most hard-working and selfless person I know. For 16 years, she has been an amazing single mom to me. She is also a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to many. Mom was also a soldier, serving our country in the U.S. Army. Now she is fighting the toughest enemy she has ever faced, Stage 3 Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. It is a very aggressive type of breast cancer that can grow and spread to other areas very rapidly. Moms have spread to the lymph nodes in her armpit.

My mom was diagnosed April 6, 2021 and began chemotherapy soon afterwards. She must complete several chemotherapy treatments, possible radiation, and surgery afterwards which could be between 9-10 months of treatment. This has been a rough journey, but my mom is a fighter. However, mom is unable to work due to being ill from the chemotherapy and her life has changed drastically. The financial strain is stressful on her - and she does not need to worry about bills, essential needs, my school/athletic needs, etc. This is an unimaginable battle and my mom needs the help of others to help her with this fight.
