Supporting Tasha: A Mother's Fight for Life After Unspeakable Loss
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
We are reaching out today on behalf of Tasha, a loving young mother in the Flathead Valley, Montana, who is facing a medical and emotional crisis no family should ever endure. Tasha is 21 weeks pregnant and already has two beautiful, sweet little girls who are her whole world.
What started as a hopeful pregnancy has turned into a terrifying journey.
A Double Heartbreak: Placenta Accreta and a Terminal Diagnosis
Tasha has been diagnosed with Placenta Accreta, a high-risk condition where the placenta grows deep into the uterine wall, making delivery incredibly dangerous and often life-threatening for the mother. This condition requires specialized surgical intervention by experts.
Simultaneously, we have received the devastating news that her baby has severe, non-survivable complications and will not make it. This young family is simultaneously preparing to say goodbye to their baby while also bracing for a complex, life-saving surgery for Tasha herself. The weight of this emotional pain is unimaginable.
The Urgent Need for Travel and Specialized Care
To ensure Tasha has the best possible chance of surviving the life-threatening accreta surgery, she must travel hundreds of miles from the Flathead Valley. The University of Utah has agreed to take her case, but this means an immediate, unplanned, and stressful cross-state relocation.
She will need to be away from home and her support system for an extended period, requiring hospital stays, recovery time, and follow-up appointments far from Montana.
We are humbly asking for support to help Tasha focus solely on her physical survival and emotional healing, rather than the crushing financial burden this crisis has created.
Your donation will directly cover:
Travel Costs: Fuel, vehicle maintenance, and unexpected travel expenses for the multiple trips between Flathead Valley, MT, and Salt Lake City, UT.
Accommodation: Lodging costs for her partner or support person to stay near the hospital during her surgery and recovery.
Medical Deductibles & Co-pays: Unexpected costs associated with highly specialized surgery and extended care that insurance may not fully cover.
Childcare & Lost Wages: Funds to help cover necessary childcare for her two little girls back home, and to offset lost income as Tasha and her partner take time off work.
Help Us Bring Tasha Home Safely
Tasha is strong, but she shouldn't have to face this alone. Every mother deserves a fighting chance, and these funds will remove the financial obstacle standing between her and the specialized care she desperately needs.
Please consider donating and sharing this story. Even the smallest contribution will provide immense relief and allow Tasha to focus on what truly matters: enduring this surgery, mourning her baby, and returning home safely to her darling little girls.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers during this incredibly difficult chapter.
Note on Placenta Accreta: This is a serious condition that can result in massive blood loss and requires hysterectomy in many cases. The surgery in Utah is not optional; it is essential to save Tasha’s life.
