As you may know, Tasha Teijeiro was recently diagnosed with stage 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma - breast cancer. Thankfully, the odds are in Tasha’s favor! She has an incredible treatment team that she trusts and, with the right treatment, Tasha’s odds of survival are very high, and the odds of the cancer returning are very low.
Over the past couple of weeks, Tasha has undergone numerous forms of testing - MRIs, CT scans, biopsies, etc., all of which have proven invaluable as they have given her doctors the information necessary to put together the best possible treatment plan. As of now, surgery will be required, as well as radiation and/or chemotherapy.
Tasha works in the Oncology Department at a local hospital and spends her days working tirelessly to secure insurance approval for the treatment and medications needed to save their patients’ lives. She takes her job seriously and does it with admirable dedication.
Her husband, Daniel, works in our local community as well and is passionate about helping animals live their best lives, whether they be animals in need of homes, or training so that they can enjoy their homes and families to the fullest.
Their son, Kama, will be a senior at Union High School. He is an incredibly driven, hard working young man. With his parent’s unwavering support, Kama recently earned his Private Pilot’s license and will enter his second year at Cascadia Tech Academy’s Aviation Program in the fall. He also plays the drums in the high school band and is on the varsity wrestling team.
As bills for Tasha’s diagnostic testing and treatment begin to arrive, her medical expenses will add up quickly, not to mention missed work time for both she and Daniel. If you are able, please consider making a donation so that the Teijeiro Family can focus all of their energy on BEATING CANCER!!!
Tasha and Daniel come from a culture that gives and helps others without hesitation, yet is reluctant to ask for help themselves. Please know that the family receives your support with great humility, gratitude, and love. Thank you!
