This fundraiser is for my daughter, Taryn, who is 20 years old and was diagnosed with a high grade diffused glioma. There is no cure, but we have already surpassed the life expectancy given by Western medicine by a year. Since her diagnosis in May of 2024, Taryn has bravely endured five brain surgeries, radiation, and a six-month clinical trial. When we reached the limits of what Western medicine could offer, we turned to alternative treatments, grown from mother earth herself. These treatments are not covered by insurance and are completely out-of-pocket, but the changes we have seen in Taryn have been nothing short of remarkable. She has gained mobility and strength, improved her speech and cognitive function, and found peace and joy for the future. Her dystonia, caused by brain damage, has decreased, and she is more hopeful than ever. Because of these improvements, Taryn longs for independence and individuality. We are working to outfit a small apartment attached to our home for her, hoping this will allow her to live more closely to a typical 20-year-old, while still providing her with the care and guardianship she needs. The funds raised will help us continue her alternative treatments, purchase equipment to support her independence, and cover specialized therapies that regenerate and cleanse her body.
