Hi, my name is Tariq Khalif. I'm a 17 year old grade 12 student and Somali Canadian living in Vancouver, Canada. I've always been interested in STEAM subjects, more specifically on the technology side of things. I've been programming since grade 8 but I've mostly been doing some small things on the side. I plan to major in Computer Science next year so I'm trying to find ways of collecting skills that will benefit my career. With programming, there's a lot you can do, from creating basic websites to fully fledged out games. I think to bring my game to the next level, I'll need the entrepreneurship skills that SHAD can provide.

SHAD Canada is a competitive STEAM and entrepreneurship program where students across Canada can explore their passions, build leadership, and connect with a community full of emerging and accomplished entrepreneurs. Participating in this program would be an amazing opportunity for me. I would get the chance to develop my leadership and entrepreneurial skills and gain guidance from academic and industry mentors. This experience will support me in my dream of pursuing a career in Computer Science.

The total cost of the program is about $10,000. It covers all program costs, including residence accommodation, meals, academic activities, and field trips.
