Update: Tara Update 9/7/25
We’re delighted to share some wonderful news about Tara’s recovery. This week, she was released from intensive rehab, and thanks to the generosity of one of our owners, Tara was able to spend a couple of nights at The Quarters (her place of work before the accident). Having the chance to relax and feel “at home” meant a great deal to her before traveling to Texas with her mother. Her goal is to return as soon as she is able.
The donations received are helping to cover the cost of rehabilitation services at her mother’s home, as well as doctor appointments, since Tara does not currently have insurance. We are incredibly grateful for your continued financial support, as well as the thoughts and prayers you’ve shared during her journey.
A little over six weeks ago, there was uncertainty about whether Tara would even wake up, so to now see her walking (with the aid of a walker) and talking is truly remarkable. She still faces challenges—particularly with her speech and mobility—but her progress reflects her tremendous strength and determination.
Tara has also made a heartfelt video message to share with everyone, which is attached. Thank you again for standing beside her through this recovery. While she has a long way to go before she can live independently and return to work, the progress she has made is inspiring and gives us every reason to be hopeful.
Again all donations will go directly to Tara for her recovery and eventual return to NY.
Dawn
Tara Ebersole is more than just a valued employee—she’s family to all of us. Recently, Tara was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that has left her in the ICU on a ventilator, with a broken back and swelling in her brain. Her recovery will be long and challenging, and she faces an uncertain road ahead. When Tara wakes, she will need extensive physical therapy and will have to move to an apartment without stairs to accommodate her new needs. She will be unable to return to work for the foreseeable future.
Tara is known for her adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors. She spends her days off kayaking, hiking, and recently began primitive camping. Her bubbly personality and kind heart have touched everyone she meets, making her absence felt deeply by friends, coworkers, and the community.
We are raising funds to help cover Tara’s immediate medical bills and secure safe, accessible housing for her recovery. Every contribution will help ease the financial burden and allow Tara to focus on healing. Your support means the world to Tara and everyone who cares about her.
