Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out for my wife and her parents. Tara would be reluctant to share this herself, but those who love her know she needs support now more than ever.

Tara and her family are facing an incredibly difficult and emotional time. Over the past few weeks, My mother in-law, Lupe, became suddenly and seriously ill. After much strength and courage, she made the brave decision to return home on hospice, choosing to spend her remaining days surrounded by comfort, love and family.

At the same time my father in-law, Terry, has experienced a steady decline from progressive dementia and requires 24/7 care. Lupe had been his sole caregiver, lovingly supporting him everyday. With her declining health, this responsibility has now shifted entirely, creating overwhelming and unexpected challenge.

Adding to this, Tara is also balancing being a mom and wife from afar, as we live 2 hours away. She is doing everything she can to be present for her parents while supporting her own family at home.

As an only child handling these responsibilities, Tara is also navigating a lengthy court process to obtain guardianship so she can ensure her dad receives the care and support he needs moving forward.

Tara is doing everything she can to provide care, comfort and support while carrying the emotional weight of it all. The demands of caregiving, time away from work, frequent travel, legal expenses, and the added costs that come with hospice care, caregiving and daily needs have placed significant strain on the family.

We are asking for support to help ease this burden so Tara can focus on what matters most: being there for her parents in this important and emotional time.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will go toward caregiving support, travel expenses, daily living needs, and ensuring both of her parents receive the care and dignity they deserve.
