On February 13th, our spunky, compassionate, and sometimes fierce friend Tara was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Tara grew up in Stoughton, later moving to Deforest where she and her husband raised their son, Wade. She has always been deeply involved in Wade’s life, cheering him on at every sporting event and volunteering in parent groups. Family and friends have always been Tara’s top priority—she’s the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need, never asking for anything in return.

Now, Tara finds herself in need of support as she faces the challenges of cancer treatment. She is currently dealing with missed work, rent, high out-of-pocket medical expenses, food, and transportation for her treatments. The financial strain is significant, and keeping up with bills has become increasingly difficult.
