Grandmother, sister, mother, friend was just some of the titles that Tara Johnson was known by and stood solid on. Tara was diagnosed with breast cancer in Summer of 2023. Tara valiantly fought cancer for her children but mostly for her beloved grandchildren.

In October 2024, Tara rang the cancer-free bell. However, the celebration was short lived and she endured life sustaining brain surgery within 30 days. Faced with a terminal illness and no cure, Tara was cruelly dropped by her life insurance carrier. This added undue stress to an already strenuous situation.

Tara continued to fight for her life. And this proved to be the most challenging fight of her life. Unfortunately, by early 2025 Tara’s cancer advanced to her lungs and eventually brain and spine.

Tara’s loved ones were informed that no other measures but comfort could be provided. Tara was able to transition surrounded by her family, over the course of 6 days under Hospice Palliative Care.

Her unexpected passing has left her family and friends devastated and scrambling to honor her life and legacy.
