Support Tara During Her Cancer Battle

Hi everyone, my name is Leah, I am posting this on behalf of my mom, Tara. Tara is a light to everyone who meets her. She is a fantastic mother and a devoted friend. She is a giver, and will always look out for other’s selflessly.

In the beginning of January our family got the news that my mom was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer, a week after losing my grandmother to lung cancer. TNBC tends to grow quickly, is more likely to have spread at the time it’s found, and is more likely to come back after treatment than other types of breast cancer. Triple-negative breast cancer has fewer treatment options than other types of invasive breast cancer. This is because the cancer cells do not have the estrogen or progesterone receptors or enough of the HER2 protein to make hormone therapy or targeted HER2 drugs work. Because hormone therapy and anti-HER2 drugs are not choices for women with triple-negative breast cancer, chemotherapy is often used.

My mom is not one to ask for help in any way, So I am stepping in to create this opportunity for others to help our family.

We have three rounds left of Doxorubicin (the red devil) - I’ve set up this GoFundMe to be able to help financially support my family during this time of need. Medical bills will be extreme and the goal is to be able to alleviate some of the burden of that stress.
