My wife and I opened Taqueria Doña Alicia, our family-owned Authentic Mexican Restaurant, in September last year. We poured our hearts into creating a welcoming place for our community to enjoy delicious, homemade Mexican food. Our dream was to share our culture and recipes with our neighbors, and we have been so grateful for the support and friendships we’ve built since opening.

Unfortunately, due to the recent political unrest in Minnesota, we have been forced to temporarily close our doors. This was an incredibly difficult decision, but the safety of our family, staff, and customers comes first. Even though we are closed, we still have to make payments on our lease and loans, and the bills for rent and utilities continue to add up. As a small, family-run business, these ongoing expenses are a heavy burden while we are unable to serve our community.
