Support Tanzie's Third Battle with Cancer

We are Tanzie's parents. Tanzie is 14 years old. Her cancer journey started when she was 10. Tanzie is a very active child; she loves to draw, dance, and watch Anime. During spring break of 2021, she fell out of nowhere and a giant knot appeared on her leg. We took her to the ER where we found out that she has a form of bone cancer called femur osteosarcoma. The knot turned out to be a tumor. The doctors at Arnold Palmer Children's Cancer Hospital determined it was aggressive, and MRI, CT scans, and a biopsy determined that it covered her right femur, knee, and the top part of her shin. She went through around 29 weeks of chemotherapy. She had to have surgery to remove the tumor during the middle of chemo. They had to remove the tumor, do reconstructive surgery on her knee to rebuild it, and they are taking her femur bone out. They replaced the femur bone with a metal bone. After all of this was done, she had to do 2 years of physical therapy to learn to walk using her prosthetic bone.
Tanzie's cancer relapsed again for the 2nd time in July of 2023. She had two surgeries removing the muscle in her leg around the same spot as last time. She had another 8 months of physical therapy. She did not have to do chemo at this time.
Fast forward to September of 2024 (this year). She went in for scans just for a check-up, and they found a spot in her lungs. They monitored the spot over the next 2 months, and it has grown. The spot is her cancer that has metastasized to her lungs. She now is considered stage 4. She has to have surgery to remove the tumor in her lung. Once the results are back from the tumor, she will begin therapy, either chemo or radiation.
With this being her 3rd battle, we both have to miss work to be with her. Her mother will have to miss work weeks at a time to take care of her through this. She has a long battle ahead of her. Thank you all for your support! I hope that you will keep us in your prayers! Love from our family! #cancersucks #teamtanzie #bonecancer
