Hello, my name is Sheena. I’m Tanya’s oldest daughter and favorite . On February 5th, 2026, mom went in for a routine mammogram. A few days later, she got a call saying her results were abnormal. They scheduled her for a second mammogram to get additional views; they also scheduled her for a biopsy on the same day. During the biopsy, mom had an episode called vasovagal. Her blood pressure dropped to, I believe, 60/40, and she lost temporary consciousness. Once stable, she was transferred to the ER for observation. On 2/10, her biopsy results were in… She was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS). They scheduled her for a lumpectomy on 3/9. The surgery went well, and she was able to go home. In the middle of the night on 3/10, her breast swelled tremendously, and the pain was unbearable. Mom went to the ER, where they gave her stronger pain meds, monitored her, and sent her home with stronger medication to manage the pain.

I'm reaching out on mom’s behalf because I know she doesn’t like asking for help, but I know she could use all the help, prayers, and positive vibes. She will be out of work for a while to heal and for ongoing treatment. She’s already racking up quite the medical bills on top of her regular monthly bills. Chad (mom’s boyfriend) is working hard to keep up with the piling up bills all while trying to care for mom at the same time. I decided to start a go fund me to take a little weight off mom’s shoulders so she can focus on resting and healing.
