Support Tanya J. Gordon's Final Farewell

Some of you may not know us, but perhaps you know the beautiful person in this picture. This is our mom, Tanya J. Gordon, and we are her children, Jordan and Marcus. Introducing her is easy; now comes the difficult part, especially for me, her firstborn, Jordan, whom she affectionately called Poona.

Anyone who knew our mom knew she loved a good meal followed by a long nap—it was the highlight of her day, right alongside spending time with family. She brought so much joy and warmth into our lives with her love, laughter, and the little things she did to make us feel special.

Wednesday morning, July 24, 2024, seemed no different, or so I thought. At 10:00 am, I tried to wake my mom from her sleep but was unsuccessful. Mom had passed away peacefully in her sleep that night. It was a peaceful passing, but an incredibly painful moment for us.

As her only son, Marcus—Kid Capri or Bud—this was not an easy call for my sister to make or for me to receive, but here we are. My sister is only 22 years old, and I recently turned 16. We don’t have the funds to properly lay our mom to rest, and this is where we ask for your help.
