Last week, Tanner Antalosky’s life changed in an instant. After showing concussion-like symptoms, his family took him to the ER expecting a routine check. Instead, at CHOP, they received the devastating news that Tanner has DIPG, an aggressive brain tumor.
Tanner is known for his big heart—he’s the child who wins kindness awards at school, volunteers at a local farm, cheers on every teammate, and brings joy wherever he goes. In just days, this healthy, active boy began experiencing neurological symptoms that now affect his balance and ability to walk. DIPG is rare, cruel, and incurable, and families often have only months, not years, after diagnosis. Tanner has already started radiation to help relieve symptoms, but his care will soon transition to palliative support.
Because Tanner needs constant care and near-daily trips to CHOP, his mom Danielle has had to leave her job immediately. Your support will help cover loss of income, travel expenses, medical costs not fully covered by insurance, palliative care needs, household expenses, and support for the family as they navigate this heartbreaking time.
Your donation will give Tanner’s family the ability to focus on what truly matters: loving him, comforting him, and cherishing every moment.
A special request: Tanner has not been told the full details of his diagnosis. To protect his peace, please be mindful and discreet when speaking with him.
