Tanner and I have been through many changes in the last few days. After feeling sick following church, Tanner thought he had caught the flu, but his symptoms worsened until his doctor sent him to the Emergency room. After many tests, we finally received an answer: Leukemia. Tanner was transferred from My Michigan in Tawas to Covenant in Saginaw, and then to University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he will be receiving treatment for the next few weeks.

Due to his diagnosis, Tanner is unable to work for at least six months. We are facing medical bills, travel costs to the hospital, and other expenses. It has been so hard going from our daughter Ember’s first birthday just a few weeks ago to now Tanner and I being downstate while Ember stays with family. Tanner has always been a devoted husband, father, and man of God. He is really struggling missing work, home, and his family. He wants nothing more than to be back home on his tractor, working on his garden and animals, and playing with our daughter in the sun.
