Our family is asking for help for my nephew, Tanner, who is currently battling brain cancer.
On November 25th, Tanner was rushed to the emergency room for what we thought was a severe migraine. After a CT scan, doctors discovered a golf ball-sized brain tumor, and he underwent emergency brain surgery immediately. The surgery went well, and we were so hopeful the tumor was benign, but on his 21st birthday, Tanner received the devastating diagnosis of terminal brain cancer.
In the midst of that heartbreak, further testing brought us a miracle: his final diagnosis was updated to a grade III oligliodendroglioma. While this tumor type has a much more hopeful outlook the treatment ahead is very long and grueling.
A few days after Christmas Tanner began radiation treatments, five days a week for six weeks. He has now completed radiation and started a year long chemotherapy regimen. The physical toll, emotional strain, and financial burden of this journey has been overwhelming.
Tanner is truly an incredible young man. He brings joy to everywhere he goes and lights up every room with his humor, kindness, and heart. Before all of this, he was working full time and getting ready to begin his schooling at CRAS (Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences), pursuing his dreams and building a future. But cancer has forced him to put those plans on hold so he can focus entirely on healing.
As treatment continues, everyday expenses like rent, utilities, groceries, gas, and medical costs continue to pile up. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean more than words can express and help ease the financial burden so Tanner can focus on what matters most: fighting this disease, healing, and reclaiming his life.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping Tanner in your thoughts and prayers means just as much to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and compassion during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Emily Bryner
