Memorial Day weekend Mike and Lisa Wilde’s son, Tanner Wilde, was in a tragic accident which resulted in multiple serious injuries including a broken back. Tanner was life-flighted from Kolob, where he was spending the weekend with family, to Saint George Regional Hospital. There he has received the most amazing care from surgeons, nursing staff and his rehabilitation staff as well as tremendous support from family and friends.
If you know Tanner, he is always on the go. He is very active and loves all things outdoors. His tenacity, perseverance and determination to make a full recovery has astounded all of those around him and we know he will continue to work each moment to reach his goal of recovery.
Even so, Tanner, Keely and family have a long arduous road ahead of them that began with a costly life-flight rescue and includes long term physical therapy and an ongoing hospital stay that will quickly build into an insurmountable amount of medical debt This coupled with an uncertain future due to Tanner's extensive injuries means the Wilde family is faced with an uphill battle.
While we know that the Wilde family will band together and hold Tanner up in support as they have always done, we are hoping to ease their burdens and help them cover medical expenses so Tanner can focus all of his energy on healing and his return to health. The Wilde family is part of our village and has been a huge support to our community over the years. We can only hope that these donations will ease their burdens, paving the road to recovery for this amazing man and his family.
The Wilde family wants to express their sincere appreciation for the tremendous support and love they have received from family, friends and the community so far. Every expression of support is met with gratitude.
Please continue to uphold them in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days and every donation is appreciated. We will do our best to update you as Tanner moves through the recovery process on his FB Recovery Page.
