I hope that this finds all readers in good health and spirits. My name is Shayne. I am friends with Tanner and Mattison Foley and am blessed to live very close to them.

On Friday, October 24th, in the early evening, Tanner was getting ready for the upcoming rifle deer season here in Northern Minnesota. He was removing a deer stand from a tree when he fell approximately 10+ feet to the ground. Thank goodness that Mattison, Tanner's wife, was home at the time and that Tanner had his cell phone with him as he called her from where he landed. Tanner knew that he had severely injured himself. Mattison called 911, and Tanner was transported to a local hospital. A higher level of care was required, and Tanner was transported to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Tanner suffered a serious injury to his left wrist. Pictures of the injury are pretty graphic and are included with this to show the severity of his injury. In simple terms he severely dislocated and broke his wrist to the point that the specialist does not know if hardware can repair it.

Tanner has had four procedures in three days (Oct. 24th-27th) with numerous surgeries in the near future. Right now, they are trying to stabilize his wrist to avoid a fusion, but the prognosis is not looking good. At this point Tanner is looking at a debilitating injury that will more than likely render that arm disabled. All future surgeries will be aimed to stabilize and seek comfort for him.

Tanner is currently employed full-time and is the primary source of income for the family. Tanner served in the U.S. Army and is a honorable Veteran. Mattison works part-time while going to college full-time for her master's in social work. They have two children ages 12 and 4. With the holidays approaching it makes this stressful time worse.

They are not certain yet how long Tanner will be out of work, but they are being told at least six-seven months if not longer. Tanner is looking at having to change career paths due to this disabling injury.

Tanner and Mattison need help until Mattison can finish her degree and starts a guaranteed job in May. She will then be able to provide for the family.

Thank you in advance for any help.
