Hi, my name is Megan, and I’m raising funds for my dog Tank, a 5-year-old corgi mix who is fighting for his life.
Tank was rushed to the emergency vet after becoming extremely lethargic and unwell. We received devastating news: his red blood cell count is critically low at just 13%, when a healthy dog his age should be closer to 50%. Because of how severe this is, Tank urgently needs a blood transfusion, along with further diagnostic testing and referral care to determine why his body isn’t producing or maintaining normal red blood cells.
The emergency visit alone is estimated at $2,000, which includes stabilization and the blood transfusion. Unfortunately, that’s only the beginning. Additional tests, specialist referrals, and continued treatment are expected to cost another $1,000 or more, depending on what is found.
Anyone who knows Tank knows he’s more than “just a dog.” He’s family. He’s goofy, loving, and has been my constant companion for five years. Watching him struggle and knowing that help is possible—but financially overwhelming—has been heartbreaking.
I’m setting a goal of $3,000 to help cover:
• Emergency hospitalization
• Blood transfusion
• Diagnostic testing
• Specialist referral and follow-up care
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping give Tank the chance he deserves. ❤️
