For anyone who has had the opportunity to know, love, or be loved by Tanika, knows that she is the definition of a Lord's servant. Tanika works full-time at EAMC. She has spent many years serving the people of this community during their weakest moments on admissions to the hospital. She truly lights up every room she enters and goes above and beyond to serve her family, friends, coworkers, and patients. Even on the hard days, she wears a smile and constantly encourages others to see God's daily blessings. She gives to those around her, helps those who are unable to do for themselves, and leaves a mark on hearts and lives that she has touched.
On the night of July 12th, the life of Janiah Thomas (Tanika's firstborn and oldest daughter) was tragically taken. Janiah was only 22 years old. I know that tragic loss takes a toll on families in a number of ways: emotionally, spiritually, and eventually financially. My goal for this account is to help ease any financial burden the coming days, weeks, and years may bring. I ask that if you feel led to give or donate, that you do so with a servant's heart and pray over each and every dollar raised. And if you are unable to give, your prayers, love, and the simple act of sharing this page are deeply appreciated. No parent prepares for the loss of a child. I pray that God will bring answers, healing, and peace during this difficult time. Continue to lift Tanika, her youngest daughter, and Janiah's entire family in your prayers.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted...
