Help Us Bring My Mother Home From the Hospital

Hello, my name is Tania, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help during the most difficult time my family has faced.

Back in March, my mother suffered three strokes and a collapsed lung. Since then, she has been in the hospital fighting for her life. By God’s grace, she is still with us — but her health is fragile. The doctors have now told us it’s time for her to come home.

As much as we want that, we are not financially prepared. My mom needs a home ventilator, a hospital bed, and ongoing medical support to stay comfortable and stable. Unfortunately, these things are expensive. The ventilator alone costs around $700 a month to rent, and the hospital bed rental is $500 per month. Purchasing used equipment would be cheaper in the long run, but we simply don’t have the funds right now.

I’m a single mom working full time, and my sister is also working. My father had to stop working to stay with my mom 24/7 at the hospital, and we have no other family nearby to help. It’s just the three of us trying our best.

We were told my mother will likely be discharged by Monday, but we’re not ready. We can’t afford the equipment or medications she needs to come home safely. That’s why I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, if you could donate anything — even just a few dollars — to help us.

Every bit truly makes a difference. Our goal is high, but even if we don’t reach it, any amount will bring us closer to giving my mom the care she deserves.
