In June of 2019 I was impacted by gun violence which changed my life forever. Since then I have been admitted to a hospital for over 2 and a half years. This journey has been incredibly challenging: I have missed the birth of my baby sister, I have missed many holidays with my family, and I have only left the hospital campus one time in the past 2.5 years.
My medical team is currently coordinating my at-home healthcare needs and the end of my hospitalization seems to be in sight. I am seeking any financial support that can help my mom cover the unexpected costs of me transitioning home.
Due to the injuries I sustained, I am now quadriplegic and my mom will become my full-time caregiver at home in addition to caring for my three siblings. She will take care of my day-to-day needs (ie feeding me, bathing me, providing me with medical care). Thank you in advance for your consideration, your financial support, and your prayers!
