Dear Family, Friends, and Kind Supporters:
My mother, Tana Flowerdew, is the kind of person who lights up a room just by being in it. Her warmth, her creativity, and her boundless generosity have touched so many lives. She’s the one who always put others first, whether it was through her delicious meals, her art, her smile, or the simple joy of her presence. She was always willing to give the shirt off her back, no matter what the cost. Now, she’s fighting the toughest battle of her life, and she needs our help.
Tana was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that has turned our world upside down. For over a year, she was misdiagnosed by doctors in the Sandpoint, Idaho area, a painful and frustrating journey that allowed this terrible disease to take hold. The life she once lived so fully—cooking, painting, swimming, dancing, and embracing every moment with her loved ones—has been stolen away by pain and overwhelming stress.
As she prepares to undergo intense chemotherapy and radiation, the reality is that my mother won’t be able to work or care for herself in the way she always has. The mounting medical bills, the rising cost of living, and the inability to work are adding to the burden she’s already carrying. It breaks my heart to see her so worried when she should be focusing all her strength on healing.
We are raising funds to support my mother through this unimaginable ordeal. Every dollar will go directly toward her medical expenses, transportation costs, her living costs, and giving her the peace of mind she desperately needs. We want to lift the weight of financial worry off her shoulders so she can put everything she has into what matters most: fighting this cancer.
This isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s a lifeline for a woman who has spent her life giving to others. Tana is my mother, my inspiration, and the heart of our family. She has always been there for her community, offering kindness and support without hesitation. Now, we have the chance to be there for her.
Please, if you can, donate and share this campaign. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Together, we can help my mother find some light in this dark time and give her the strength to keep fighting.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
