***As an update to this, I now have to have back surgery on 11/11/2025*** 

Hello, my name is Tamyra "Tammy" Carter. Unfortunately, I have lost finances due to recovering from a lower leg fracture and extensive neck surgery. I've been scared and embarrassed to write this, but I had a friend encourage me to do so. I am unable to work yet until neck heals. So, that is taking a toll as well. If possible, please consider giving to help w/ rent, utilities, food, etc. Thank you so much!

Besides this current surgery creating loss and inability to pay bills, the following have also added to medical debt over the years. It's overwhelming.

-ski accident, first neck surgery and off work for over a year.

-cancer surgeries x 3. extensive costs and off work.

-laproscopy (cancer concern, but, operating room, anesthesia, etc cost just the same)

-mom's death, care taking her, loss of FT job and had to go to an as needed position(before regaining FT status), loss of MASSIVE income

-Covid (significant symptoms w/ hospitalization, loss of work)

-dad's death, care taking, again FT job loss, etc.

-Car accident (ambulance, ER, closed head injury and cranial laceration)

I actually had a colleague that wrote his own gofundme awhile back. At the time I felt awful that he had to write his own gofundme page. However, it is what he needed. I was only able to give $20 and to my surprise he was very thankful stating it would help him buy toothbrush/paste, deodorant, etc to get ready for interviews! So, a little goes a long way!
