Support Tamra's Brave Fight Against Cancer

This wonderful person is our mom, Tamra Williams. Anyone who knows her knows what a kind, sweet, and lovely human she is. She is so special and so loved by so many, which is why we are looking to raise funds to support her at this time.

Unfortunately, our lives have been rocked as she is faced with the difficult battle of fighting cancer. After being unable to ingest solid food for several weeks, it was discovered that she had a large 8x8 inch tumor in her abdomen - which was pressing on her bowels, rendering her unable to eat. After further testing and scans, it was discovered that she had stage 3 B-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, at which time another tumor was discovered in her chest. Due to the location of the abdominal tumor and it being intertwined with major arteries, surgery was not an option, and very aggressive chemo was the only path forward. However, being unable to eat for 28 days before chemo created significant additional challenges, leaving her extremely weak and her body unable to handle the strength of her treatments. Due to her white blood cell count being non-existent, she was unable to receive required antibody infusions that are essential to keeping her alive during this fight. This reaction was very rare and the complications surrounding her treatments have only caused additional stress around an already delicate situation.

On September 30th, she was admitted to the hospital after spiking a fever. Her doctors were able to pivot and get a growth hormone approved for her, which will hopefully raise her white blood cell count quickly. However, all of this comes with a cost. The financial burden on our parents has been and will continue to be significant. Due to the type of cancer she has she will never be deemed as cancer-free and will require follow up treatments and testing for years to come. In addition, our dad also requires a medical procedure that has been put on the backburner but needs to be done soon. While our parent's jobs have been so understanding, our dad is looking to get a second job to support her treatments, which would be a significant strain as he is her only caregiver. We are hoping that with the kindness of others, we can help alleviate some of that burden for them.

All proceeds will go to paying for chemotherapy treatments, basic bills, out of pocket maximums, upcoming radiation in January, and any additional unforeseen costs associated.

We are humbly asking for support in getting her through this difficult time so that the weight of this situation is a bit more manageable. Anything that can be contributed is so appreciated, even just sharing this campaign on social media means so much.
