Tammy is so much more than a diagnosis. She is our aunt, our sister, our daughter, a mother, and a woman who has been deeply loved by so many. She has always carried a fierce spirit, a strong will, and that unmistakable orneriness that made her uniquely Tammy. She showed up for her family, loved without hesitation, and left an imprint on our hearts that can never be replaced.
Her diagnosis of stage 4 throat cancer has devastated our family. She is now in hospice care, and each day brings the painful reality that our time with her is limited. Knowing we are approaching a goodbye we are not ready for has left us heartbroken and struggling to find our footing.
As we walk through this unimaginable time, our family is also facing the reality that our 99-year-old grandmother is in hospice care as well. Carrying the weight of two end-of-life journeys at once has been emotionally overwhelming and deeply painful for all of us.
Tammy does not have life insurance, and the rapid progression of her illness has left us with little time and few options for financial support. What matters most to us now is making sure she is comfortable, surrounded by love, and honored with the dignity and care she deserves at the end of her life.
With heavy hearts, we are reaching out to our community for help covering end-of-life and funeral expenses. Any contribution—no matter the size—will help lift a burden that feels impossible right now and allow us to focus on what truly matters: being present with Tammy, loving her, and honoring her life.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping Tammy in your thoughts and prayers means more than we can express. Thank you for standing with our family during this heartbreaking time and for helping us surround Tammy with love.
