Help Tammy Fight for Her Life

A few weeks ago, Tammy went to the ER with shortness of breath, thinking she might just need a CPAP machine. Instead, a chest X-ray revealed three spots on her lungs.

What followed has been a blur of scans, specialists, and waiting rooms. The PET scan showed activity in multiple areas… her neck, chest, pelvis, liver, spleen, and abdomen. Her doctors believe it may be lymphoma, but she’ll know more after her biopsy. She’s praying it hasn’t spread to her bones.

All of this happened almost overnight. She’s facing possible stage 4 cancer, no job, and no insurance… all while navigating the heartbreak of a recent breakup. Yet, even now, she keeps saying how she hopes “it hasn’t spread” and how she “doesn’t want to be a burden.”

If you know Tammy, you know her heart.

She’s the CNA who treats every resident like family. The one who brings extra snacks on her shift because “some of them like Oreos.” The one who always checks on others, even when no one’s checking on her.

Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
