Friends of Tammy, Kenny, Paul, and Tina –
Hello, my name is Christina, and I am reaching out on behalf of my best friend Tina and her family during an incredibly difficult time.
Tina’s mom, Tammy, has been bravely fighting stage IV gastric cancer since the beginning of 2025. The diagnosis came as a complete shock and has shaken her and her entire family’s world in ways no one was prepared for. Over the past year, Tammy has gone through extensive chemotherapy treatments with so much strength and determination. Despite undergoing all of the recommended treatments by her doctors in California, the cancer has not been eradicated and has become metastatic in nature. While Tammy has remained incredibly strong, hopeful, and surrounded by love, she and her family are not giving up on recovery.
After having exhausted recommended options in the United States, Tammy and her family are seeking to go out of the country for therapeutics and alternative treatments to advance recovery and facilitate healing.
Unfortunately, alternative treatments are not covered by domestic insurance structures and come at a significant cost.
Right now, this GoFundMe is seeking to raise $60,000 to cover the immediate expenses for the treatment that Tammy is seeking with the full support of her family.
These costs include:
- Travel
- Alternative oncological therapeutics
- Admission and residence at an international inpatient cancer center (3+ weeks)
While the desired $60,000 does not cover the entire treatment, it is a significant help to Tammy and her family initially in terms of funding this effort.
For those who know Tina, you know she is incredibly supportive and giving towards those around her. I personally benefited from her support three years ago with my own medical need. This is why I am asking all of us to generously come to support her and her mother in this urgent situation.
Your support will remind Tammy, Tina, and their family that they are not alone in this fight. Every donation counts in bringing Tammy closer to the prospect of healing and restoration.
We understand that some of you may not be in a position to donate. You can support this cause by sharing this post with your network, which will help us reach others who may be able to support.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for keeping Tina and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Your support, kindness, and generosity truly matter more than words can express.
Sincerely,
Christina
