Support Tammy Sterzinger's Memorial Expenses

On September 30th 2024 at 6:47pm, Tammy L. Sterzinger lost her extremely difficult battle with aggressive lung cancer that metastasized to the brain at only 48, just before reaching her birthday on October 21st. She was surrounded by her loved ones in the end, and now they are left to pick up the pieces. Unfortunately some of those pieces include some hefty finances for her cremation & celebration of life (as well as medical bills).

Tammy was a stranger to no one. Weather she was known through one of her seven children, known as the "cool bus driver" to her communities kids, known by the people she helped in their times of need, known because she was extroverted and always willing to make a new friend; Tammy became a familiar face and her name wildly recognized. Her table was always full of company, and if someone needed a bed she was more than willing to fill it. She almost always had someone over to visit, a cup of coffee and conversation full of laughs was her norm. Usually her company would be at least one of her children, who were there up until the very end when when she lost the battle against cancer and the war that was full of pain and suffering finally came to a close. She also had consistent companionship with her husband, Jeremiah, who met when they were young playing spin the bottle at their mutual friends party. Jer remembers looking back on that day thinking, "Yep, this one is coming home with me." And even though they estranged for years, they managed to find each other all over again and married August 6th 2012. They enjoyed making their house a home, and could often be spotted out to dinner or indulging in one of Tammy's various hobbies like perusing garage sales to look for antiques. Tammy also enjoyed listening to a variety of music (80s hair bands being among her favorites), was an avid reader (James Patterson being one of her favorite authors), loved her plants both indoor and outdoor (her favorite outdoor plants were hostas, and her favorite flowers were orchids), doted on her pets (most notably her dogs Peaches and JJ). She was also extremely passionate in advocating for the wrongfully convicted, spending countless hours on work, research, spreading awareness, building community and fighting for justice on their behalf. Her home had an open door policy for her children, she was the matriarch of the family and helped bring her children together. That was especially true in her final days. Now, after they've had to come together to try and figure out how to financially take care of their mothers expenses and help their step father through it while they're all deep in grief, they could use any bit of help the community could provide. Gratitude wouldn't begin to cover how they would feel with your help and support.
