My neighbor and friend Tammy Reckard has been fighting some awful hard battles lately. Last October, she was hospitalized with heart failure. Then, this past April, she was fighting pancreatitis, and the pain just wouldn’t go away. After many months, several hospital stays, many tests, and more doctor visits than can be counted, a tumor was found on her pancreas. Yes, it was between 3rd and 4th stage cancer. The tumor is up against an artery, so the doctors are hoping to shrink it with an aggressive chemo treatment in the hopes that the tumor will be able to be removed in about six months.

I am posting this as Tammy is once again in the hospital trying to find some relief from the pain.

The many hospital and doctor visits have made Tammy miss a great deal of work and use all of her PTO. Darrin is also missing a great deal of work and struggling under the financial burdens they’ve been facing.

Any help for this family would be greatly appreciatedd.

Update- 9/11/2025 Tammy has been released from the hospital again as they think the pain is being better controlled at this time. Unfortunately, the tumor has grown and been upgraded to Stage 4. There is no surgery as an option at this time. Please keep Tammy and her family in your prayers and any help is greatly appreciated at this time.
