Help Tammy Peters Bruns Fight Cancer

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to share Tammy's story. She was recently diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer, called Pleomorphic Liposarcoma. This type of cancer only affects 1 in 2 million people per year. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has turned our world upside down, but if you know Tammy, you know she is a fighter.

She has always been the kind of person who lights up a room with her smile, lends a helping hand without hesitation, and always puts others before herself. Now, she needs your help more than ever.

This diagnosis has brought not only physical and emotional challenges, but also an overwhelming financial burden. Because this cancer is so rare and aggressive, Tammy and Adam traveled 14 hours to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, to meet with specialists there. What we thought would be a 4-day visit turned into us having to move to Houston because doctors there said she needed to start treatment immediately. We found an apartment and settled into being away from home. The treatment plan includes five 21-day chemotherapy sessions followed by five weeks of radiation treatment and then surgery to remove the tumor, followed by frequent return trips to Houston for future tests, which is critical for her recovery but comes with staggering costs.

Between medical bills, travel expenses for treatment, medications, lost income, and needing to move to Houston, Texas, for the treatment, the financial strain is immense. We are humbly asking for your support to help cover these expenses so Tammy can focus on what truly matters: healing and recovery.
