Tammie, a dedicated 56-year-old single educator, essentially needs our support.
Diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on March 22, 2024, she has bravely undergone six rounds of chemotherapy and extensive testing this spring, showing a phenomenal response to the treatment.
In early August, Tammie will undergo a critical autologous stem cell (using her own cells) transplant at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. This procedure requires her to relocate to Baltimore for four to six weeks and receive outpatient treatment.
I am starting this page because starting August 12, Tammie will be out of work until January 20, 2025. Although she is determined to return to work sooner (in her mind she’ll be back November 1st!), we need to ensure she can focus on her recovery without the stress of mounting medical and regular bills. She also needs to have some type of meal service so she can stay focused on proper nutrition.
Your generous donations will allow Tammie to concentrate on healing and reclaiming her health. Throughout this journey, I will provide regular updates on her progress and share pictures to keep you connected to her while she defeats this disease and claims back her health and gets back on her feet.
Your support is crucial. Together, we can help Tammie overcome this challenge and return to her life with renewed strength and health. #TeamTamTam
