Hi, I am starting this GoFundMe page for my best friend, Tami Hurd. In 2018, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She immediately faced so many life-changing events, starting with a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, breast reconstruction, and has had two tumors removed since then. Sadly, this last week, we learned that her cancer has metastasized, and she is now stage 4. She is now faced with another round of chemotherapy, surgeries, and many appointments and tests to come.

If any of you know my friend, you know how independent she is. She will be upset with me about starting this, but she loves me enough to forgive me. I am starting this GoFundMe because she needs help with medical bills and time off work. We are not sure how much she will be able to continue to work during the chemotherapy, surgeries, appointments, etc.

Tami is such a beautiful person inside and out and would do anything for anyone. She is the person to observe and see someone’s need and act on it without ever being asked. She is so independent and never has asked for help with anything from anyone. That is why she will be so upset about me starting this and sharing. But I do think she not only needs but deserves help from friends, family, and the community she has always given back to. My hope is to help her raise some money so she can fight this without the stress of bills on top of the stress of this cancer.
