In November of 2023, our mom was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer. She underwent an extensive and painful surgery to remove the portion of her colon that contained the large, cancerous tumor. After a long recovery, eight months later, during a routine colonoscopy this week, they found two additional polyps containing an aggressive, genetic cancer. We were just informed she will need to go to Stanford in the next couple of weeks to undergo an additional advanced surgery to remove more of her colon.

This process has already put an incredible financial strain on her. Now, there will be an extended stay in Stanford, multiple trips to doctors up North prior/post surgery, increased medical bills (including stay, treatment, and surgery), and a long period off of work.

Anyone who knows our mom knows what a fighter she is and has always been. She is not one to ask for help but we know how distressing this time is for her and how economically difficult this is for her. There is a long road ahead but anything that we can attempt to do to help alleviate some of this intense stress and anxiety for her, we will do, thus the creation of this GoFundMe.
