Help my mom Rebuild After Life Took an Unexpected Turn

Hi, my name is jonnie, and I never thought I’d be here—writing this, asking for help. My mother Tamara Williams (previously Stout) has always been a strong, independent woman. A nurse. A wife. A mother. The one who worked overtime, sacrificed sleep, and did whatever it took to provide for her family. Even at 56, she went back to school and earned her RN. But everything changed when her body started to break down in ways I couldn't explain.

At first, I thought she was just tired. Working night shifts, caring for a sick husband, doing too much—but it was more than that. She was constantly fatigued, in pain, and struggling to walk. For two years, she kept pushing through, blaming age, stress, and work. Then came repeated hospitalizations—hip pain, COPD flare-ups, weakness so bad she had to lift her own leg into the car. She cannot bend down to pick things up. Couldn’t reach shelves. Couldn’t be the nurse, wife, or woman she's always been.

Finally, after a terrifying hospital stay and months of testing, she was diagnosed with Inflammatory Myositis, a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the muscles and causes extreme weakness and exhaustion.

Since then, her world has unraveled:

She lost her job as a nurse—she could no longer perform CPR or even work a full shift.

Her retirement fund is gone—used just to survive while waiting for disability.

She's in the process of filing bankruptcy—trying to stay afloat for a year, but she just can't keep up.

Her husband is also ill and on continuous oxygen—they're both unable to do basic home repairs.

Their garage roof is falling apart, and the insurance company is threatening to cancel her coverage.

The city is demanding repairs they simply can’t afford.

Their credit is shot, and by the end of the month their borrowing from us kids just to get by.

This disease took away her career, hee health, and her stability—but she's still here, fighting. I’m asking for your help to:

Help Make critical home repairs (garage roof, kitchen)

Pay for legal and bankruptcy fees

Cover basic living expenses while they navigate this next chapter

Anything you can give, even a share, means the world to me. She didn’t choose this path, but she's walking it the best she can. From the bottom of my heart—thank you for reading, supporting, and caring.

With gratitude,
Jonnie stout
