Hello, my name is Tamara Fleming, and the photo above was taken just a few weeks before I received the life-altering cancer diagnosis that forever changed my path. It was February 2024, and in that moment, all the things I once thought were important suddenly faded beneath the weight of uncertainty about my future. What started as a routine visit to the doctor quickly became the beginning of a journey I never expected.

Over the past eight months, I have undergone surgery and treatments, and though the road has been difficult, I am grateful to still be here, standing in the land of the living. I know that it is only through God’s Grace and Strength that I’ve made it this far, and I am deeply thankful for the love and support of my family and friends who have stood by me through this ordeal.

While I have made it through these months by the grace of God, my battle is far from over. I still face additional surgeries and continued treatments, which require frequent travel to and from Trinidad in the months ahead.
