Our names are Justin, Tristan, Gideon, David, and Vaughn. We are based locally in Marin, and we are high schoolers at Tamalpais High School. We are devoted to our nonprofit, TAM AIR.
At TAM AIR, our mission is to conserve nature for a better future by using drone technology to monitor and protect Marin’s natural landscapes from the impacts of wildfires and pollution. By this, we can potentially spot fires early, keep them from spreading, and protect people, animals, and nature. We can work to keep communities safe and our environment healthy.
We are looking to raise funds to be able to build 3D printed autonomous drones and planes to enforce our mission and contribute to our community. We want to be able to give back to Marin and keep the beauty of nature for future generations to come.
Here is the budget:
1. Refund the initial drone prototype (1,200$)
2. Build a second prototype with more functionalities (1,500$)
3. Purchase a commercial drone for video recording and raising more funds with local contracts (1,500$)
