My name is Talyse, I am a transgender woman who recently experienced a deeply traumatic event that has turned my life upside down. On my way to work, a disagreement with my mother escalated unexpectedly. In a shocking turn, she began physically assaulting me, striking me repeatedly in the head while driving. Fearing for my safety, I had to defend myself as best I could under the circumstances. The situation took a terrifying turn when I made the decision to leave the vehicle for my own safety. In a desperate act of aggression, my mother then attempted to run me over multiple times as I tried to reach safety on foot. This harrowing experience has left me emotionally scarred and displaced from my home.
