My name is Taher Jerbi, founder of the humanitarian association Les Routes de Taher, which helps children in Africa access medical care and education.

I decided to open this fundraiser to help a 9-year-old boy, Talyaka, who has been struggling for several months with Burkitt lymphoma in Uganda.

We need your help so that he can continue his medical tests and treatment, by covering the travel expenses from his hometown to the Uganda Cancer Institute in Kampala.

If the diagnosis is confirmed, chemotherapy sessions will be free. However, many other essential costs are not covered, such as medications, daily needs, and transportation.

Talyaka’s mother, who is raising him alone, has already sold almost everything in her home to support her son. With the funds raised, we would also love to provide him with a mattress so he can rest more comfortably during this difficult time.
