My name is Teal, and I have created this GoFundMe for my baby brother Talon.

Talon will be undergoing open-heart surgery on Tuesday February 24th to replace his aortic valve.

He was born with a congenital heart condition that has progressively worsened over time. His valve has become critically narrowed, and surgery is now necessary to restore proper blood flow and protect his long-term health.

While insurance will cover much of the procedure, we anticipate approximately $8,500 in out-of-pocket medical expenses, along with costs related to recovery and cardiac rehabilitation.

Talon will need at least six weeks of recovery following surgery before beginning cardiac rehab. During this time, he will be unable to work and will be focused on healing.

Those that know Talon know that his defective heart is a wondrous one. He has filled the world with beauty from his music, his art, and his love.
