I’ve been joyfully creating a children’s story inspired by an article about a deep-sea octopus riding on a mako shark off New Zealand. Marine biologists were stunned to see predator and prey traveling peacefully together. With no clear explanation, it sparked biblical reflections and filled me with awe of God, planting the seed for Tako & Mako.

Tako & Mako is a heartwarming children’s story of an unlikely octopus and shark who discover friendship, faith, and purpose as they follow a mysterious treasure map that simply says, “Follow Me.” Along the way, they explore, witness miracles, dance and sing. Discovering purpose as they seek to find promised treasure in the deep, one adventure at a time.
