Support Takelia's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Hello, my name is Takelia. I'm a 34-year-old mother to 3 wonderful children and a moody cat. On December 30, 2024, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma with metastatic spread to my lymph nodes. Life has been a whirlwind of appointments and insurance battles since then. Initially, there was a plan to continue working while seeking treatment. My first day back after having surgery to insert my chemo port, I started developing sharp pains when breathing. The next day, I was admitted into the hospital due to the port tip migrating into a small vein next to my heart where it wasn't supposed to be. This resulted in a second surgery, not even a week after the first, to remove the initial port and install a new port on the opposite side. I'm now healing from both with chemo starting soon. I will be having a double mastectomy in the coming months, followed by more chemo and radiation.

My goal is to raise money to help with the cost of treatment and to help with everyday cost of living, as I have already had to take a significant amount of time off work and anticipate more in the coming months, due to the effects of chemo on my body. I would like to alleviate the financial stress in order to focus on recovery.
