My sweet cat, Tajin, has been at the animal hospital the past day. She was vomiting for 2 days before I was able to take her to the vet to be checked out. They found a blockage with some foreign material and recommended surgery. Unfortunately, all of the animal hospitals yesterday did not have an on-call doctor or if they did, it was going to cost between $12k and $14k.
She is currently at ACCESS Pasadena and has been stable and receiving fluids. They need to do another ultrasound later today to determine surgery or not.
So far, we have spent $5,174 on her, not including her surgery.
I recently got laid off in May and have been surviving off of unemployment, some freelancing here and there, serious couponing, credit cards, and luck.
We are being quoted almost $10,000 for her surgery, which I cannot place on any of my credit cards.
It has been through generous donations on another platform that I was able to pay for her vet visit, which cost $1,064.31.
Being able to raise 50% of her estimated surgery costs would put us in a great place to place a deposit and figure out the rest from there.
Thank you so much
