Support Taiwan, Francis, and Baby Aleah's Fight

Update 9/12/2025:
We first want to say thank you to each person who prayed, shared the need and gave to make the miracle of Aleah’s life possible.
After the heartbreaking loss of baby Alena, due to an early delivery at just 27 weeks, Taiwan and Francis have spent the last six weeks in the hospital, trusting God to sustain little Aleah. By His grace, Aleah is now home—but the journey is far from over.
Their home is in a remote area with limited access to reliable transport—even motorcycles are hard to find at times. It can take up to 45 minutes of walking just to reach the nearest transportation. For a fragile newborn like Aleah, this is not just inconvenient—it’s dangerous.
During pregnancy, Taiwan experienced multiple medical emergencies, and each time, getting to the hospital was a struggle. Now, with Aleah’s delicate health and the need for weekly hospital visits, the urgency for a safe and reliable vehicle is greater than ever.
We are trusting God to provide a car—and we invite you to be part of the miracle.
Your support will:
• Ensure Aleah can get to medical appointments safely.
• Provide peace of mind during emergencies.
• Empower this family to care for their child without fear or delay.
Whether you give, share, or pray—your help matters and we are incredibly grateful!

Written by Shirley Turner:
Just last month I visited Taiwan and Francis in Dar es Salaam and it was absolutely precious to see and hear the great joy in their hearts and through their actions that they were both trembling at the thought of becoming parents to twins in mid-October as well as overjoyed!

As we went pricing baby things and just did normal things like cooking and cleaning and playing card games Taiwan’s sweet mom voice would often randomly say something funny or loving to her babies like, ‘I know you are hungry babies, mommy is making some good food for you, just be patient.’ My heart melted every time I heard her and was filled with joy and confidence that she was going to be an absolutely wonderful mom.

She was so happy when I handed her a couple sets of twin onsies and she tried them on her growing belly with sheer joy beaming across her face.

Last week Tai awoke to fluid leaking and went immediately to the hospital. They said that she had lost amniotic fluid and after 24 hours of observation she was released and put on bed rest. On Monday morning (July 28) Taiwan went to the hospital and within a few hours she delivered two baby girls Aleah (2.2 lbs) and Alena (2.64 lb).
They were little miracles arriving about 10 weeks early and alive. They were set up in the NICU to be put on breathing machines because their little lungs haven’t had the chance to fully develop.
In the wee hours of the morning baby Alena left us. With broken hearts Taiwan and Francis laid her to rest just over 24 hours after they met her.

Right now Aleah is still fighting in the NICU and we are praying Tai is able to produce milk and that baby Aleah reaches the 48 hour mark.

Taiwan and Francis serve passionately and faithfully with OM, so they live off of support. They live a simple life and are generous and wise with what God provides for them.

Already the cost of the hospital for both babies and mother, burial and additional costs have superseded their support levels for the month and it is only day 1.

The estimated costs per day are about $175. Your gift would be a great encouragement and answer to prayer to this young couple who is trusting God to do a miracle.
