Tabletopbattle (also known as TTB) Gaming Club is a non-profit organization (registered with # 920136648 in Norway) that rents space in Moss, Norway, allowing kids and grown ups of all ages to come together to play games of all kind.
Our mission is to create a safe place for (especially) kids where they can enjoy the wonders of hobbying in a friendly environment (alcohol and smoke-free of course).
We provide games (card, miniature and board) free of charge for everybody to have fun with. We also host several RPG campaigns a week, both for youths and adults.
We regularly run demos and tournaments to attract new people into the hobby.
We are open 7 days a week due to our amazing volunteers, letting people come together any day of the week to have fun and socialize. No salary is ever paid, everything we do is on a voluntary basis, and that is why we know we have the best people working with us, they share the same PASSION for the hobby and social aspect as we do.
We also have a Youtube channel where we post videos of us playing different games, in an educational manner.
Why a fundraiser?
Renting a space in Norway is not cheap. There is of course also electricity and cleaning/maintenance.
The venue is quite big (100sq.m) to provide 12 fullsize gaming tables but is badly insulated so that winter is very cold and thus electricity bills are skyrocketing.
We are barely surviving only because of support from our Patrons, members and sales from our kiosk.
We want to try a fundraiser to secure funds that we can use to pay rent, electricity and cleaning when we have a month with little income or if expenses are much higher than our budget.
We work with the municipality several times a year, holding events for children (typically Pokemon) that are not able to go on vacation as well as showing and teaching games at local schools to give kids a platform to meet and be social instead of staring at that ipad or monitor/tv all day.
We understand that this fundraiser might not apply to foreigners but we still beg of you, if you see the value in the work we do, both for kids and grown ups or if you enjoy our Youtube videos, please consider donating a small amount, just because you understand how important it is to provide a clean, safe, smoke and alcohol free environment for people to come together and have FUN, every day of the week
