When life takes an unexpected turn, it can leave even the strongest among us needing a little extra support. Our dear friend, Tabitha, is currently facing a new and difficult challenge in her medical journey that has brought not only emotional strain, but significant financial challenges as well. She is a beloved teacher who has poured her heart into her students and community, always showing up with compassion, dedication, and care. Now, she needs us to show up for her.

While Tabitha is doing everything she can to focus on healing, the reality is that medical expenses are becoming overwhelming. Even with insurance, there are countless out-of-pocket costs—deductibles, treatments, medications, and ongoing care. She has already used all of her available disability time through work, and is now having to pay for her insurance out of pocket, adding even more financial pressure. With extended time away from the classroom, she will soon be faced with the incredibly difficult decision about the future of her job status—something no one should have to worry about while fighting to regain their health.

Frequent trips to MDA for specialized care have also become a necessary part of this journey. These trips bring added expenses like travel, gas, meals, and time away from home, all of which continue to pile on during an already challenging time. We are asking for your help to ease this burden so she can focus on what truly matters—healing and recovery.
