I’m starting this GoFundMe because I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m ready to make a major change: I’m working toward relocating from Texas and starting over somewhere I can feel safe, supported, and free to be myself. Getting to this point hasn’t been easy. I’ve experienced hardship, instability, and situations that have forced me to fight harder than I ever imagined I would have to. There have been moments when I felt like the odds were completely against me, but somehow, I’m still standing. Being transgender has meant navigating challenges that many people never have to think about simply because of who they are. There are times when it feels like the laws and political climate around me are sending the message that people like me aren’t welcome. But I refuse to let that define my future. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life fighting just to exist. I want the opportunity to live. What I’m Working Toward I’m working to relocate, secure stable housing, find meaningful employment, and rebuild my life from the ground up. I want to create a future where I can wake up without constantly worrying about where I’ll be staying, how I’ll make ends meet, or whether I’ll be accepted for simply being myself. My goal isn’t to run away from my life. It’s to give myself a chance to finally build one.
