Hi everyone,
My name is Symone, and I work as a pediatric nurse caring for children with complex medical needs. My work is my heart—I love showing up for my kids and their families every day.
Unfortunately, my car recently broke down and now needs both an engine and catalytic converter replacement. Because my car has over 100,000 miles, it no longer qualifies for an extended warranty, which means these repairs are completely out-of-pocket. The cost is so high that it may make more sense to put the funds toward a replacement vehicle. On top of that, I still owe money on my current car, which makes this situation especially heavy to carry on my own.
In the meantime, I’ve been commuting by train and Uber to get to work. While I’m grateful to have backup options, those costs add up quickly and are becoming overwhelming.
I’ve set a goal of $20,000, which would allow me to:
• Pay off my current car loan so I’m not stuck with debt for a car I can’t drive.
• Put funds toward either repairing my car or securing a reliable replacement vehicle.
I’ve always been the type to figure things out on my own, but right now I could really use some help. Any contribution—big or small—would mean the world and go directly toward ensuring I have a safe, reliable way to get to work, care for my patients, and provide for myself (and my fur child Cupcake ).
If you’re not able to give, sharing this page would still be such a blessing. Thank you for supporting me through this bump in the road.
With gratitude,
Symone
